Detailed Trading Rules & Guidelines

Any trades between two users that have ever gotten to level 3 or beyond and are at least 150 days old will stand unless:

(1) There was multi-mimicking (the trade helped one team and harmed the other to the extent that the teams may as well be multis).

(2) The trade was made between teams owned by the same person.

(3) The trade involved salary consumption or the conversion of a checker into an enforcer and then a trade back.

Any trades made involving a user that has never gotten to level 3 or beyond or are under 150 days old will stand unless:

(1) There was multi-mimicking (the trade helped one team and harmed the other to the extent that the teams may as well be multis).

(2) The trade was made between teams owned by the same person.

(3) The trade involved salary consumption or the conversion of a checker into an enforcer and then a trade back.

(4) The trade is found to be too lopsided at the discretion of the admin. If two users make a lopsided trade but neither one got anything that valuable, the trade may stand at the discretion of the admin.

VIOLATIONS

(1) Trades involving multi-mimicking:

If there is solid proof of multi-mimicking such as a history of the teams unreasonably helping each other out (including trades found to be overly lopsided that were previously dealt with no administrative action), both traders will be banned.

If there is an overly lopsided trade, but no solid proof of multi-mimicking:

Both teams will be asked to give a hockey explanation for making the trade. Even a weak hockey explanation will be sufficient.

If no hockey explanation is given or an insufficient hockey explanation is given by either team (such as they proposed so we accepted), the trade will be reversed.

A hockey explanation involving future trades (such as, we're giving lopsided trades in favour of this team now, and they will return the favour later) is insufficient.

Teams will have 2 days to give their hockey explanation for the trade from the time they were asked for the explanation. If either team fails to give an explanation in that time, the trade will be reversed.

Reversals made possible by way of vote for trades involving two teams who are both at least 150 days old and have previously been level 3 or higher:
In the event that two teams who both meet the level 3/150 day rule make a trade that the community loudly objects to, an admin will create a poll asking if the trade should be reversed. If 75% or more of the voters say the trade should be reversed, the admins will have the authority to reverse the trade at their discretion.

(2) Trades made between teams owned by the same person

The user will be banned.

(3) Trading a player to a team for salary consumption or to be made into an enforcer and then doing a tradeback.

The trade will be reversed.

(4) A trade, which involved at least one user who has never reached level 3 or is under 150 days old, is found to be too lopsided at the discretion of the admin

Reversal with one chance to appeal. If the admin is still convinced the trade is too lopsided after the appeal is made, the trade will stay reversed. One or both users may be banned at the discretion of the admin. Whether or not a ban is issued will involve factors like the teams' histories and the lopsidedness of the trade.

REPORTING RULES:

All discussion of reports and the reports themselves should not involve personal attacks. Doing so could result in post deletion or a forum ban.

If the player posting is continuously breaking forum etiquette, they could face a game ban.

Arguing with an admin's final decision could result in a post deletion or a forum ban.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

If you make a trade involving a team that has never reached level 3 or is under 150 days old, you do so with the risk of the trade being reversed, even if the trade favours the team that is considered to be inexperienced based on the level 3/150 day rule.

There are no exceptions to the level 3/150 day rule. If a team has never reached level three or beyond or is not at least 150 days old, they will not be given the same trading freedom as a team that has made it to level 3 or beyond and is at least 150 days old in any circumstances.

A completed trade that was either proposed or accepted by mistake will stand unless an admin feels it is overly lopsided.
